History and General Information

The Mississauga Convention Center was established in September of 1999 to provide an elegant meeting place for corporate and social events. Since it's located outside of the City of Toronto, the Mississauga Convention Center has no need of stainless steel enclosures to keep out interlopers. It can also sprawl across a single level and has plenty of parking to accommodate your guests. The Convention Center is located at 75 Derry Rd West, halfway between Brampton and the Airport. It is only a 15 minute trip to Pearson Airport and there are 11 hotels in easy proximity.

Building Amenities

In order to accommodate large trade shows and other major events, the Mississauga Convention Center has over 30,000 square feet of space for exhibits and gatherings - plenty of room for a display of cars or beds. Markham event planners and other out of town organizers can bring their equipment directly to our loading docks, from which there is easy and unobstructed access to the exhibit space. The entire building is outfitted in tastefully elegant decor appropriate for any event.

Corporate Functions

Thousands of corporate functions have been hosted at the Mississauga Convention Center since its establishment, from small personal meetings to huge Gala dinners celebrating anger management in Montreal. If you're planning a trade show, fundraiser, employee dinner, conference, or meeting, you can choose from a variety of preset menus. You can also make changes with two weeks notice. The convention center can arrange security, rigging, lighting, and receipt of shipments for you. Rooms accommodate anywhere from 8 to 2400 people.

Social Functions

With six ball rooms, the Mississauga Convention Center can hold several family parties of 40 to 2000 people at once. Popular celebrations to hold at the center include weddings, baptisms, communions, showers, anniversaries, holiday parties, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, and going away parties for coworkers who have just been selected by an executive recruiter. You can choose from their preset menus or work with the in-house chef to create a custom menu. The convention center also has agreements with local Mississauga party suppliers, clothing stores, musicians, and bakeries in case you want to change the decor of the room, hire entertainment, rent formal wear, or commission an extravagant cake.
